tuxedo park Gardener’s Cottage

Interior Renovations • Decorating • Exterior Work • Landscaping

Just after getting married, Amy and her husband, George, bought an old old gardener’s cottage that once accompanied the long-gone Mortimer estate in Tuxedo Park, NY to fix up and enjoy in their free time. Two years later, Covid hit, their free time disappeared, and the home quickly became a steadfast, full-time residence for the couple, their two children, and their puppy. They were thankful not only to have such a beautiful place to retreat to when the world turned upside down, but also to be able to throw themselves into the gut renovation of the 1895 home & its grounds. Chasing a fearless toddler around the home was one of Amy’s best lessons in residential architecture.
